The actual tendency to discharge chronic patients from hospitals, as well as the increasing request for improving quality of life of elderly and disabled people at home, was the original motivation of the development of the Home Telecare Management System (HTCMS), here described. The HTCMS allows, at the Home Telecare Service Center, the remote monitoring of biological signals and data and the management of different types of alarm calls generated at home.es
